Position Summary:

Under the Director of Operations, the Corporate Reporting Manager will develop and maintain close and effective working relationships with Senior Management and Business Leaders across multiple business units, understanding their informational and operational reporting needs while delivering useful reports, analysis, and other best in class data visuals. This is a highly visible role which will allow the candidate to be part of a team that delivers valuable information to help drive decision making at every level of the company.

Responsibilities

  • Establish and uphold trusting relationships with Senior Management and Business Leaders
  • Develop in-depth understanding of reporting needs, underlying data, data structures, and business uses
  • Work cross-departmentally to ensure proper maintenance and integrity of various databases
  • Produce simple and complex reports; recurring and ad-hoc
  • Develop custom analysis with SQL-based queries, VBA, and Power BI
  • Review and verify accuracy of reports against original records
  • Respond to reporting requests in a timely, efficient, and accurate manner
  • Maintain reporting schedules, templates, and version tracking; meet reporting deadlines
  • Track reporting deliverables, milestones, and goals
  • Ensure reports are developed and presented using the most appropriate method and tools available
  • Drive continuous improved reporting mechanisms and information sharing by proposing, documenting, developing, and implementing enhancements to reporting analysis, processes, and systems
  • Assist management with special assignments, as requested

Qualifications

  • BS, Finance/Accounting, Information Systems, or Operations Management
  • Must be detail-oriented, organized, and highly analytical
  • Advanced Excel skills, including creation and use of macros, lookup tables, pivot tables, etc.
  • Experience with SQL, query design, and VBA
  • Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with internal and external teams
  • Self-motivated with the ability to juggle multiple priorities and assignments and organize efficiently in a quickly moving environment
  • Possession of the utmost integrity and ability to uphold client confidentiality
  • Ability to adapt quickly to change and manage stress
  • Ability to work well in a team environment
  • Possession of good decision-making skills and self-awareness
  • Ability to work hours outside of general business hours, as required

 

Desired Qualifications:

  • GAAP accounting knowledge
  • Experience with Power BI (or similar reporting tool)
  • Minimum of 5 years prior related experience in a fast-paced environment, preferably in finance or related industry (1-3 years supervisory experience a plus)

Apercen is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role for those assigned and/or hired to work in for New York City Metro Area, Colorado, Washington State, and California. The salary range for all localities is $110,000 – $130,000. Individual salaries within this range are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, certifications, skills and geography.
