Position Summary:

As our clients’ personal CFOs, we are considered trusted advisors for all financial aspects of their personal and professional lives. Our platinum-level client service model has allowed us to harvest deep rooted relationships with our clients and their other trusted advisors. Apercen FOS continues to grow, and we are seeking individuals who can advise clients as well as manage, grow, and develop their own teams of professionals. 

 

As a Finance Manager II, you will be responsible for supervising the payables team and ensuring all items are processed efficiently on a daily basis. You will work closely with the Director to outline processes for the FOS team and act as a mentor to FOS Client Managers. Responsibilities

  • Establish payables process and oversee client team processing
  • Monitor assigned client bank account balances to ensure proper funding for bill payment and payroll processing
  • Oversee client team payroll processes and provide guidance as needed
  • Manage recurring payment summary, vendor tracking, and related client approvals
  • Oversee accounting activity performed by client team, including posting and maintenance of general ledger accounts, payroll transactions, accounts payable and general ledger adjustments
  • Review monthly investment journal entries and maintain client specific schedules
  • Review payroll journal entries
  • Oversee month-end bank and balance sheet reconciliation processes and verify completion
  • Verify completion of monthly vendor summaries
  • Analyze financial data in order to prepare financial reports for assigned clients
  • Review financial reports and statements, including monthly balance sheets, income statements, cash flows statements, and actual to budget and variance analysis
  • Review client deliverables, including net worth reports, balance sheets, income statements, cash flow statements, and comparative and consolidated financials
  • Review quarterly client expense reporting
  • Review quarterly and/or annual tax return deliverables
  • Prepare monthly client billing
  • Manage 1099 process and filing for client and related entities
  • Manage tracking of client assets and monitoring of private investment capital calls and distributions
  • Review and interpret real estate and private investment contracts for appropriate accounting treatment
  • Manage communications with internal and external teams across multiple client engagements

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of 7 years of applicable experience

 

Desired Qualifications: 

  • CPA or MBA

 

Apercen is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role for those assigned and/or hired to work in for New York City Metro Area, Colorado, Washington State, and California. The salary range for all localities is $130,000 - $147,000. Individual salaries within this range are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, certifications, skills and geography. In addition, at Apercen we offer a comprehensive benefits package that is designed to meet the changing needs of our diverse workforce and help everyone achieve and maintain their best possible physical, emotional, and financial health.
