Position Summary:

As our clients’ personal CFOs, we are considered trusted advisors for all financial aspects of their personal and professional lives. Our platinum-level client service model has allowed us to harvest deep rooted relationships with our clients and their other trusted advisors. Apercen FOS continues to grow, and we are seeking individuals who can advise clients as well as manage, grow and develop their own teams of professionals. 

As a Senior Trust Accountant, you will focus on accounting and financial analysis for your assigned clients and related entities. If you have a passion for client service and want to hone your accounting skills at the highest stage, you will love working at Apercen FOS.

Essential Functions:

• Prepare trust accounting for multiple trust accounts
• Record and review monthly brokerage account transactions in Fiduciary accounting system
• Review invoices to ensure required details are included
• Manage payables process per guidelines set by client team Manager(s)
• Monitor assigned client bank account balances to ensure proper funding for bill payment
• Manage client inboxes and workflow around emails
• Oversee accounting activity performed by client team Staff Accountant(s)
• Process approved payments and transfers in Oracle accounting system
• Interpret brokerage account transactions
• Research corporate actions
• Assist with monthly, quarterly & year end processes
• Review client deliverables
• Gain an understanding of accounting for various types of investments and entities
• Gain an understanding of various legal documents
• Work with client team to develop and implement policies and procedures
• Support FOS individual client teams
• Anticipate client and client team needs to assist with engagement management
• Participate in client team and greater FOS group trainings

Desired Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of 3 years of applicable experience
• Trust accounting knowledge and familiarity with compliance matters preferred
• CPA or MBA preferred

Apercen is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role for those assigned and/or hired to work in for New York City Metro Area, Colorado, Washington State, and California. The salary range for all localities is $75,000 - $96,000. Individual salaries within this range are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, certifications, skills and geography.
