Apercen's IT department is seeking a talented and motivated Desktop Support technician to join our growing team. We are looking for a team player who can blend strong technical skills, issue ownership and follow-through with excellent customer service. Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot and resolve technology-related issues when contacted by end users on-site and remotely
  • Respond to support inquiries via telephone, email, and chat
  • Install, configure, and upgrade computer hardware and software
  • Maintain software applications, operating systems and perform regular maintenance
  • Maintain asset inventory
  • Create documentation and tutorials for end users
  • Assist IT Systems Engineers with large scale technology projects
  • Ability to work overtime and extended project hours as needed
  • Occasional travel to support distributed office topology

Qualifications

Qualifications:

 

  • AA Degree in Information Technology or related field
  • 3+ years of experience in a desktop support or helpdesk role
  • Basic Active Directory knowledge (add accounts, remove accounts, change passwords)
  • PC hardware troubleshooting and repair
  • iPhone basic support (email setup, basic troubleshooting)
  • Basic MS Office 365 troubleshooting and support experience
  • Basic computer troubleshooting experience including:
    • Application issues
    • Browser issues
    • Connectivity issues
    • Update issues
  • Attention to detail
  • A positive and friendly attitude
  • Ability to work independently and quickly learn new concepts and procedures

 

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience with Microsoft Azure & Office online
  • Experience managing/maintaining servers running Windows Server
  • Customer service background is a plus
