Position Summary

Under the guidance of the Business Operations Manager, the Quality Control Data Associate supports quality control initiatives by maintaining practice management database and monitoring/ reviewing various firm quality standards.


Essential Functions

  • Receive client and staff information from client service teams and operations leaders
  • Enter received data into central database in accordance with established standards
  • Ensure completeness and validity of all new and existing client and staff data; follow up on incomplete records
  • Respond to data inquiries; retrieve data as requested and generate related reports
  • Provide practice management new hire trainings
  • Assists with e-filing and Tax Quality Review to ensure tax files are stored properly in accordance with Firm standards
  • Maintain vendor portals by receiving, storing, distributing, and purging various documents
  • Comply with data integrity and security policies
  • Identify process improvement opportunities related to data maintenance data
  • Assist with various special projects



  • BA degree in accounting, finance, business administration or related field or equivalent work experience with data entry
  • Basic knowledge of tax returns, forms, processing, and terminology
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, thoroughness, and consistency
  • Excellent time management and multi-tasking abilities
  • Strong follow up and organization skills
  • Highly motivated, self-starter with the ability to work independently and with limited supervision
  • Exhibits a high degree of integrity, ethics, and trustworthiness

 Desired Qualifications            

  • 1-3 years of experience in in Tax or Accounting at a CPA or professional services firm, preferred
  • Familiarity with Practice CS or similar professional/ service practice management system, preferred
