  • Oversight of the tax and audit compliance work for private foundations and other exempt organizations, reviewing work product as needed
  • Assistance with the planning, execution and delivery of consulting projects
  • Research and analyze issues in connection with the preparation, review, and delivery of tax returns and written tax advice
  • Oversight of general ledgers and financial reporting of exempt entities
  • Collaborate with leadership on the development and implementation of best practices
  • Train, motivate, and develop staff level tax professionals
  • Act as the point of contact for internal teams and external clients and advisors


  • 3-6 years of tax experience, focused in the exempt entities space in a public accounting firm or law firm
  • Experience building and managing client relationships
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university
  • Experience with exempt organizations with complex tax issues
  • Experience with alternative investments and unrelated business income
  • Basic understanding of generally accepted accounting principles as they relate to exempt organizations
  • Ability to manage large multiple projects concurrently
  • Ability to build and maintain a proactive, professional relationship with teams and clients
  • Strong written and verbal communication/presentation skills (including the ability to breakdown and simplify complex tax issues for presentation to clients)
  • Ability to train, develop and coach staff (including providing timely and meaningful written and verbal feedback)

    Desired Qualifications:             

  • JD., LL.M. in Taxation, and/or Master's in Taxation (MST/MBT) from an accredited college/university
  • Experience with venture capital, private equity and hedge funds
  • Systems: GoSystems, Checkpoint RIA, Microsoft Office (advanced excel capabilities)
