    The Paralegal will manage the negotiation, drafting, and finalization of firm legal documents, serving as a resource for tax partners regarding client and internal firm matters.

     

    Responsibilities

    • Negotiate, draft, and finalize confidentiality/nondisclosure agreements
    • Process and summarize contracts for tax partner review
    • Perform legal research relating to tax law issues
    • Engage with tax team to establish, streamline and ensure that compliance requirements are met
    • Monitor outside counsel compliance
    • Monitor licensee compliance agreements
    • Draft form letters and correspondence related to IT, tax and legal matters
    • Assist General Counsel
    • Track deadlines and manage progress with legal projects
    • Serve as a resource to other technology transfer staff and share information and updates on licensing and other agreement negotiations
    • Prepare documents for meetings and litigation document production requests
    • Perform various administrative functions, including filing, data entry, scanning, printing, creating binders, and document collection
    • Assist management and executive staff with other special projects and functions as necessary

     

    Qualifications

    • 3-8 years of related experience
    • Paralegal certificate or JD
    • Desired: experience working in a professional services or public accounting environment
    • Highly motivated, self-starter with the ability to work independently and with limited supervision
    • Strong communication, interpersonal and management skills
    • Exhibit a high degree of integrity, ethics and trustworthiness
